PMISbok, the Project Management Information Systems Body of Knowledge, is an independent initiative designed to define, organize and advance PMIS as a professional discipline.
It addresses PMIS not as a single software product, dashboard or reporting platform, but as a socio-technical discipline that integrates people, processes, project information, governance and technology.
The purpose of PMISbok is to provide a structured foundation for organizations, professionals, PMOs, EPMOs, project controls teams, software vendors and researchers who work with project information systems.

Many organizations invest in project management software, dashboards, reporting tools and analytics platforms, but continue to struggle with fragmented project data, unclear information ownership, inconsistent reporting and weak traceability.

PMISbok Volume 1 is currently under final editorial and publication preparation. Official release is planned for Fall 2026.
